While receiving offers to study at universities abroad is hard in itself, it is harder to secure funding to actually take up one’s offer. With limited scholarships and funding opportunities, for many students with offers in-hand, there is still uncertainty.

 

Recognising this, on Sunday, 4 June 2023, Project EduAccess organised a Workshop on Alternative Sources of Funding to familiarise applicants with funding avenues beyond scholarships, including education loans, crowdfunding avenues and taking up work abroad. Panellists Blessy Antony (PhD Candidate, Computer Science, Virginia Tech), Devika (MPhil Modern South Asian Studies, University of Oxford) and Sumit Samos (MSc Modern South Asian Studies, University of Oxford) shared their individual experiences with such funding avenues.
